Asthma is a common condition that affects the airways. The typical symptoms are wheeze, cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Symptoms can range from mild to severe.
As part of your Asthma monitoring, you will be contacted by SMS or letter with an Asthma Control Test Questionnaire in the first instance. Based on your score you will then either be invited in to see a Practice Nurse, or, if your Asthma is well controlled, you will be sent an Asthma Management Plan and invited again in a year’s time.
Patients with Asthma are eligible to receive a flu vaccination annually during Influenza Vaccination Season. We will contact you when we start to accept bookings for this. If you have not been prescribed any asthma related medications in the preceding 12 months you will be automatically removed from the register.
