Out of hours services/ Walk in Centres

Through our partnership with Brighton and Hove Federation, patients now have access to additional appointments from 6:30-8pm on weekdays, 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 9am-4pm on Sundays, they are held at various sites across Brighton and Hove, to give more appointment capacity and greater flexibility for people. Appointments may not be at your own practice or with your own GP.

These include remote and face to face GP appointments, as well as appointments with a nurse, pharmacist or health care assistant.  Specialist clinics are also available including menopause and women’s health.

This service is for new, recent medical conditions such as:

  • Minor illness symptoms
  • A new minor injury (not requiring urgent medical attention)
  • A problem that can easily be resolved by prescribing a short course of medication (e.g. an infection); or
  • Flare up of an existing condition that doesn’t require a patient’s usual GP

This service is not for:

  • Any problem that would better be seen by a Practice GP with knowledge of the patient and the condition.
  • Issuing a repeat prescription.
  • Complex or urgent mental health needs.
  • Travel medication.
  • Requests for controlled drugs (such as opiates/benzodiazepines).

Please refer to the Federations website https://www.brightonandhovefed.co.uk/enhanced-access for updates.  Access to these clinics are by appointment only and these appointments can be made by contacting Trinity in the usual way.
