Stay Strong, Stay Steady, Stay Independent

Stay Strong, Stay Steady, Stay Independent is a programme of local events to support healthy ageing in Brighton & Hove.

Running from 17 to 30 April, the programme aims to raise awareness of the importance of strength and balance exercises by providing free taster sessions of various strength and balance activities across the city. These include yoga, tai chi, exercise to music, racket sports and many more.

A free live music event is being held at the King Alfred ballroom in Kingsway, Hove on 17 April from 10am to 1pm to launch the Stay Strong, Stay Steady, Stay Independent campaign.

Everyone is welcome to drop in for music, coffee and a raffle. The event is also

a chance to find out about local exercise sessions and activities, and meet the people who run them.

Programmes can be picked up from your local library from 25 March or viewed online at www.ageingwellbh.org/strength-and-balance/
