Make the right choice for your child

Poorly child over half term?

Childhalfterm

The NHS in Sussex is urging local parents and families to make the right healthcare choice if they need help, that isn’t an emergency, this half term.

Health and care services in Sussex continue to experience high levels of demand, and emergency departments are very busy.

Services continue to work together to provide suitable alternatives for people who don’t need to be seen in hospital, which helps to relieve pressure on busy emergency services.

Minor Injuries Units, Urgent Treatment Centres, and Walk-in Centres are available for minor health issues, such as bumps, scrapes, sprains, small burns and much more. You can find the details of your local services on the NHS Sussex website:

  • Bognor Regis Minor Injuries Unit, 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Brighton Health Centre walk in service, Brighton Station, open 8am – 8pm every day
  • Crawley Hospital UTC, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Crowborough Minor Injury Unit, open 8am – 8pm, every day
