To be able to report my details, have a lovely caring Dr like Dr Howard call me, then send the prescription to my chemist blew my mind. Carers Hub update – COVID-19

Carers Hub update in relation to COVID19

As we reflect on the past few months it is clear, and from recent surveys through carer charities, that there has been an increase in unpaid, family friend, carers, providing more hours of care, having less opportunities for breaks and time away from caring. This will have a big impact on the many who are caring, both adult carers and young carers. It is important we keep asking the  question ‘are you looking after someone’ and letting carers know that there is support out there for them, so they are not left to care alone and can think about their own wellbeing. The new online carers information pack can be found on our Carers Centre website.

Please find a link below for the Carers information pack

In light of recent Government guidance around Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Carers Hub have made the difficult decision to suspend all group activities and in-person 1:1 sessions until further notice. They will be working with the local authority and partners in the voluntary sector to maintain our Carers Hub support line – 01273 977000  info@carershub.co.uk so that carers can be provided with up-to-date information.

During this challenging time, we appreciate that many carers will be worried about the health of their family, themselves and about their ability to continue caring.

As this situation is unprecedented and evolving, we will do our best to update you whenever we are able. In the meantime, please continue to refer to Gov.UK and Brighton & Hove City Council for guidance. In addition, Mind has produced a handy guide for anyone concerned about Coronavirus and their wellbeing. Please visit this link to access the guide.
