Social Services - help with social difficulties, especially those related to families or the elderly. Their Information Line is 01273 295555.
Blue Badges - parking permits for disabled car users are administered from the social services office in Denmark Villas (tel: 01273 296270).
Age Concern - 71 George Street, Hove (tel: 01273 720603). Help and advice for older people. Their Crisis Line can help provide sitters and other practical help quickly in cases of sudden difficulty.
Carers’ Hub - 18 Bedford Place, Brighton, BN1 2PT: (tel: 01273 977000). Support and information for carers of all ages. https://carershub.co.uk
YAC Advice Centre - for young people 14-25 years. Information about benefits, legal rights, health, etc. Counselling & family mediation service. Phone 01273 889292 or visit the centre at 65 Blatchington Road, Hove.
Family Planning Clinic - based at Morley Street, Brighton (tel: 01273 242091). Open to anyone, any age. Condoms supplied free. Services include IUCD (coil) fitting and emergency contraception. Drop-In Service Mon - Fri 2pm -7pm
Claude Nicol Centre - Royal Sussex County Hospital, Outpatients, Eastern Road, Brighton (tel: 01273 664721) deals with sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV testing) and sexual difficulties in a highly confidential environment.
